Traditionally, kilts are made with 8 yards of tartan fabric.The extra material provides the kilt with a fuller look when compared to a 5-yard kilt, which highlights confidence and pride. Also, if you decide to go with the 8 yard kilt, because of the pleats which are deeper than the 5 yard, you will achieve a better hang and the swing of your kilt pleats. Everyone loves the swing of a proper 8 yard kilt! Our 8 yard kilts are available in either our premium wool blend or Acrylic. Tartan choices may vary depending on the material chosen.
